What We Recommend To Install

Mulch

Mulch can come in a variety of colors and sizes. We recommend black, brown and red mulch as it holds its color and does not float into your yard as much as pine bark nuggets. Mulch should be reapplied every 6-12 months. Whether you are looking to freshen up existing areas or create a new island, mulch helps to define your property and catch everyone's attention. We recommend this product when installing new shrubs, trees, flowers, hedges, and more as it helps to retain water during the rough Georgia summers. 2-4 inches is industry standard when applying mulch as 1 inch will leave bare spots in your new mulch islands. Can't figure out what mulch you're looking for? Give us a call! We can walk you through what colors will work for your property to best give you your dream yard!

Rock

Rock can come in many colors and sizes. We recommend adding them to your islands, around pools, walking pathways, and for drainage areas. Indian creek and egg rock can add color to your islands making your yard pop and look like an island oasis. Want something with a little less statement? Try mixed river rock! Get the same rock look without lots of color. Want to create a pathway for you to walk around your backyard? We recommend pea gravel. Pea gravel is small enough rock that you won't hurt yourself walking on it, but still get to stand out from everyone else. Looking for something bigger? River rounds may be your solution. This can be used to define pathways, keep mail drivers off of your yard, and help with drainage.

What To Know About Mulch & Rock

Installing mulch can be an overall good decision. Whether you are looking to mitigate weeds, retain water around your new plants, or help with water runoff, mulch can help satisfy this. While it may not be the cheapest, it helps your yard stand out from everyone else. Nothing is quite like new mulch in your yard!

Want something more long term that doesn't require you adding to it every year? Rock might be your best solution. Whether you want something small like pea gravel all the way up to river rounds and boulders, rock can be a viable option. Rock helps to create a beach oasis without having to travel to a beach. Once it's installed, you don't have to worry about maintaining it every year as it doesn't break down on you.
